Clackamas County Roundup: Troubled water district loses insurance

More news from the troubled Clackamas River Water District in tonight's Clackamas County Roundup.

Milwaukie: Clackamas River Water District officials learned this week that the troubled agency will lose its liability and property insurance at the end of the year because of "ongoing instability and internal conflict." Yesterday, The Oregonian's Editorial Board called for Clackamas County commissioners to intercede after a Sept. 13 board meeting ended in a wrestling match over an operations manual.

And bike lanes could replace on-street parking on a section of Milwaukie?s Harrison Street this spring, but city staff is looking for input from nearby residents and businesses before making a decision.

West Linn: The adult-care home in John Day, where a former West Linn woman died a year ago, has shut down after the state told the owners it would revoke their license.

Canby: A bank was temporarily evacuated this morning after arriving employees found what appeared to be a bomb. Explosive experts examined the device and cleared the scene by 10:20 a.m. No one was injured.

And state highway officials are warning of possible delays on Oregon 99E while crews repair the bridge over the Molalla River east of Canby.
